What fears have you overcome and how?
Man does not conquer fears; he simply stops feeding them, for fear is like a chained dog — it barks loudly, but it only bites the one who approaches it with a troubled mind. I overcame the fear of people when I understood that no one can judge me more harshly than I judge myself. I overcame the fear of the future when I saw that tomorrow never comes all at once, but only in small pieces, just as much as the heart can carry. And I overcame the fear of myself when I stopped looking at myself in the mirror of my own thoughts and began to look at myself in the light of God.
Do not ask how to escape fear; ask whom you obey: fear or Truth, for fear does not leave when you defeat it, but when you no longer believe it.
